Submissions now being accepted for the 2012 festival!

SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW BEING ACCEPTED for the 2012 24fps International Short Film Festival juried competition and curated public exhibitions. Short films of 20 minutes running time or less, completed after January 1, 2009, are eligible for the competition.  Cash prizes are awarded to the top three films, the audience award winner, and the Horizon Award winner for outstanding student film. This year’s 24fps festival will be held November 2-3 at the landmark Paramount Theatre in Abilene, Texas.  The 1930 restored movie palace is on the National Register of Historic Places.

2011 24fps Jury Awards Announced!

The 2011 24fps Jury Awards for this year's international short film festival were announced on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the close of the festival's three pubic exhibition program.  The festivals top honors were:   Grand Jury Prize--"The Strange Ones," dir. Lauren Wolkstein and Christopher Radcliff, USA Silver Medal--"Pioneer," dir. David Lowery, USA Bronze Medal--"Baby," dir. Daniel Mulloy, UK Special Jury Citation--"Pentecost," dir. Peter McDonald, Ireland Audience Award--"Noreen," dir. Domhnall Gleeson, Ireland Horizon Award--"Paths of Hate," dir. Damian Nenow, Poland To see complete of the jury awards, click here.
