Artist Bio

Reed Van Dyk is a Los Angeles based writer/director.  His first short, The Conservatory won a 1st Place Student Emmy Award and his last short Amateur Couple played with Obvious Child at the Melbourne International Film Festival.

Dekalb Elementary was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the 2017 SXSW Film Festival, and was presented a Special Jury Award for Acting for the work of actress Tarra Riggs.  It is also the recipient of the Jury Prize for Best Short Narrative at the 2017 Annapolis Film Festival, the Grand Prix in the International Competition at the Festival International Du Court Meterage Au Saguenay, and the Grand Prix in there International Competition at the 2017 Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.
