Artist Bio

Kibwe Tavares grew up in South London, where he had an interest in animation from a young age, taking inspiration from comics, manga, and sci-fi novels. After earning a master’s degree in engineering and architecture, he cofounded film and animation studio Factory Fifteen. His award-winning short Robots of Brixton has screened at festivals worldwide, including the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, where it won a Special Jury Prize. Jonah was nominated for this year’s Short FIlm Grand Jury Prize at Sundance.
