Artist Bio

Amanda Renee Cox was born on an Air Force base in Spain, raised in Texas, lived in New York, and recently graduated from Chapman University with an MFA in Directing. Her work has received international attention and in 2017, garnered her a prestigious DGA Jury Award. For her work on this film, Amanda received a joint grant from the Annenberg/Caucus Foundation for Producers, Writers, and Directors.

NIGHT CALL has screened at 53 international festivals (including 6 Oscar Qualifying), and has won 30 awards including Bermuda International Film Festival (Oscar Qualifying), The Cannes American Pavilion Emerging Filmmaker Showcase, Caucus Foundation Gold Circle Award and a UCFT Grand Prize for Outstanding Achievement in Film. It will receive a North American Limited Theatrical Release, broadcast on PBS locally and internationally, is a Vimeo Staff Pick, and has been granted HULU and Amazon streaming contracts. This is the film’s Texas premiere.
