Chico earns his living fixing ovens, in which he easily fits into thanks to his small size. Disregarded and marginalized by a society that hates him, Chico begins to resist.
BIG BANG was nominated for the Grand Prix at the 2023 Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival and was the 2022 winner of the Golden Pardino - Leopards of Tomorrow Auteur Competition at the Locarno International FIlm Festival in 2022.
Carlos Segundo is a Brazilian filmmaker who teaches Audiovisual Arts at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. He also curates festivals, exhibitions and workshops. He holds a master’s degree in psychoanalysis and cinema from the Federal University of Uberlândia and a doctorate in cinema from Unicamp. His short film SIDERAL was an Official Selection at 24fps in 2022, and was was nominated for the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
