Jean, a young French hooligan, is sent on a forced vacation to his grandfather, who lives in the Slovenian countryside.
FAR AWAY FIELDS is making its US debut at this festival. It is Filip’s thesis film from the Slovenian Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television.
Filip Jembrih was born in 1997 in Brežice (Slovenia), where he studied visual art, photographic technique, and directing. His short film FABULA premiered at KGIFF and FISFF in 2019. His documentary RODNA GRUDA won awards and screened at over 20 international festivals. He directs music videos and focuses on filmmaking.
