The last exams at school, everyone is in a celebratory mood. The teenager Noah is one of them - but he's often thrown out of this happy mood and overtaken by tormenting memories.
LAY ME BY THE SHORE was nominated for the Crystal Bear in the Generation 14plus category at the 2022 Berlin International Film Festival. It was also nominated at the same festival for the Teddy award. In addition, the film was nominated for the IMDbPro Short Cuts Award for Best Canadian Film at the 202 Toronto International Film Festival.
David Findlay was born in Québec, Canada in 1991. He studied art at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. His work, which often mixes fiction with documentary, focuses on an examination of human behavior.
